1920s, Photographs
Very Good
Interesting lot of five different b/w unmounted photographs of biplanes flying over the Grand Canyon of Arizona. One image shows two planes right on top on one another. Two images show single planes and the last two show a group of three planes with the majestic canyon in the background. The Curtiss B-2 Condor was a large, twin-engine heavy bomber used by the United States in the 1920s. Its design, intended for long-range flights, played a role in the development of military aviation. The B-2 was quickly made obsolete by technological advances of the 1930s, and served only briefly with the Army Air Corps, being removed from service by 1934. One plane is #2 and another is #3. All images are clean and good. Some small chips or tears on the borders. See images. Sold together.
