Very unusual photo promotional postcard featuring Happy Jack Eckert. In this image, Jack is seated as usual, but he is completely naked. “Happy Jack” Eckert (1874–1937), born John Conrad Eckert, was a famous American circus sideshow performer billed as the "World's Prize Fat Man" who weighed approximately 739 pounds at his peak. He was also known as the largest, Elk, Moose, and Woodman. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to a cigar maker, he reportedly weighed 19 pounds at birth and reached 265 pounds by age ten. He died at age 63 from severe internal injuries and fractured ribs after a motor truck he lived in collided with a freight truck in Flomaton, Alabama. This card has printed information on the back and his age as 34 years old. This has a corner chip and some mild creases. Unposted. In most cards seen he wears a toga like outfit.
