Wonderful Lot of 10 Color-Glo Movie Stills from Snow White & Seven Dwarfs 1952 Movie Re-Release

Item Details

Los Angeles, Walt Disney & RKO, 1952, Paper

Very Good

A highly displayable original Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs promotional Color-Glo scene lot of ten color production lobby stills. Each is marked Color Glo in the bottom right corner, and issued through RKO Radio Picture. The scene numbers are as follows in order of the prints. SWH 27, SW 3; SWS 5, SWH 11, SWH 57, SWH 56, SWH 34, SN 1, SWH 104, & SWH 115. The lower margin identifies the film as Disney’s first full-length feature production and carries the studio/theatrical-use language that separates pieces like this from later decorative reproductions. Marketing materials and lobby cards from this campaign often featured distinct sepia-tinted or specialized color-processed presentation styles known as "Color-Glo", highlighting Dopey and the dwarfs in lively group scenes. This strongly suggests this lot comes from that reissue advertising campaign released in Feb 1952. What makes this one appealing is its original Disney/RKO issue status, its lively dwarfs scene, its connection to the 1952 rerelease campaign, its Color-Glo process presentation, and the fact that authentic Snow White advertising paper remains collectible across several categories. There are a few small edge tears, but the glossy color main bodies remain clean and bright. Not trimmed and sold as a lot of 10 stills only.
