Friday, May 15, 1885 pamphlet which opens to a poster for the Barnum & Bailey Circus performance in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Engravings include P. T. Barnum, Jumbo the Elephant and Jo-Jo the Marvelous Dog-Face Russian Boy. Several sections advertising the numerous parts of the grand show. The Museum Department advertises "Wondrous Curiosities, Living Human Wonders and Marvels and Strange Freaks of Nature" including Wild Men of Borneo, Chang the Colossus of Giants, Major Atom the Speck of Humanity, Armless Men and Women, Fat People, Shawdowy Skeletons, Infinitesimal Dwarfs, Lilliputian Midgets, Bearded and Long-Haired Females, Tattooed Asiatics, Beautiful Circassians, Snake Charmers, Hindoo Jugglers, Hairy People and Many Monstrous Marvels from Many Lands. Almost Human Clown Elephant, Moung-Bok the Tattooed Hindoo Dwarf, Arada the Strange Quiche Dwarf, Admiral Dot the Littlest of Men, and the Remarkable Miramba Band of Guatemalians. 

This pamphlet/poster was specifically produced for the Barnum performance in Allentown, Pennsylvania on May 15, 1885. Back side of poster has a series of panels which provide a wide variety of information including Tables of Weights and Measures, Notable Bridges of the World, Depth of the Ocean, Public Debt of the United States, The Rulers of the World, Some Biblical Facts and Figures, Cost of Small Quantities of Hay, Tunnels of the World, Weights and Measures for Cooks, etc., Number of Years Seeds Retain Their Vitality, United States Soldiers in the Late Civil War, Value of a Ton of Gold and a Ton of Silver, The Origin of the Dollar, and many others.

Measures approximately 19 5/8 x 26 1/2 inches when open. Good- with a 9 7/8 inch seam-split at the upper left vertical fold, a 3 inch seam-split at the 2nd from upper left vertical fold (just left of "Jumbo"), and a 1 1/4 inch seam-split at the middle top vertical fold. Elsewhere some small tears and creases at the periphery. Priority shipping and tracking paid.
