Ca1910 flyer for  Henry Altemus Company, Philadelphia, 20th Century Books for Boys and Girls. “Cloth, 12mo. Illustrated, 50 cents each.” List of books on one side, and illustrations of the covers on the other. Titles from the first decade of the 20th century (for instance, 1909 The Motor-Boat Club of the Kennebec by H. Irving Hancock, 1868-1922, one of Altemus best-selling authors). 12.25”x6” folding to 3”x6” to fit in an envelope. The Philadelphia publisher began in 1842, and was particularly known for over 200 book series.
