1870 ticket 2”x3” for cabin passage (room 4) on the Steamer Milwaukee, trip number 34 from “Dub. & Dun.” (Dubuque and Dunleith) - “Keep this in sight at meals and hand it to the Clerk at the Gangway.” The North Western Union Packet Co. ran this steamer from Dubuque to St. Paul MN beginning in 1860, and added Dunleith as a mail landing in 1861. According to Way’s Packet Directory, the steamer was off the lists in 1870. Printed by Palmer, Winall & Co., Dubuque. W.A. Palmer, born 1836, moved to Dubuque in 1860, the printing firm reorganized as Palmer, Winall & Co. in 1864. [corner crease]
