1840 manuscript poem on the death of an infant, written by “E.W.” on April 10. Attached is a inked medallion with three decorative frames, and a manuscript in miniature - the text is from the 1797 Extracts from the Writings of Francis Fenelon, Archbishop of Cambray … by John Kendall: “On the right Employment of our time.” The piece was quoted by William Williams (probably in one of his almanacs) and recorded in Worcester MA in 1832. The whole page: 8.25”x10”; the medallion diameter 2”.
