Size: 29.5 x 24.5 cm

The lithographed images of monuments, vases, excavation artifacts (some rendered in tone lithography), as well as maps and diagrams explaining the excavations, are bound in blocks at the end of each part. Bound together in a half leather binding. "Foxing". Marginal water stains. Back cover missing about 50 percent of marbled paper. Cracks along the spine.

Anton Baltazarovich Ashik (1802–1854) — writer, archaeologist. He conducted excavations of burial mounds in Kerch and was the director of the Kerch Museum of Antiquities, as well as an active member of the Odessa Society of History and Antiquities. His discoveries of rare antiquities, many of which enriched the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, earned him government awards, and his work "The Bosporan Kingdom…" was awarded the Minor Demidov Prize.
