Bea Nettles is an American photographer known for her narrative, often autobiographical approach. In the early 1970s, the artist created what is considered to be the first ever photographic tarot deck. Made long before the aid of Photoshop, Nettles invited her friends, family, and community members to pose for the often complex images that make up this seminal deck.
