12 3/4”x15 1/4” frame with matted 6 ½” x 9 ½” photograph of a Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) steam train, circa 1925-1951. First built in the early 1910s, this type of train was called a “Mountain Pacific”, pulling up to ten cars over the mountains between Charlottesville, VA and Hinton, WV at the speed of about 25mph. It was sold for scrap to the Luria Brothers in October of 1951. 

Neither the identity of the photographer nor the location of the photograph is known. The photograph is double-matted and beautifully framed.
