A gathering of Gehenna Press sheets, proofs, prospectuses, and devices in a custom blue clamshell box with a leather label stamped in blind: “Ephemera . Baskin.” It includes a partial proof copy for John Woolman’s Considerations on the Keeping of Negroes, a partial proof copy from 1970 Alcuin, a prospectus for The Jolly Beggars, a prospectus for Four New Gehenna Press Books 1971, a prospectus for Demons Imps & Fiends, an announcement regarding the mailing list, a 1968 invitation to a concert to support Sen. McCarthy, an undated invitation to a dinner party at Anne Ratner’s house after Baskin’s Opening, a 1966 birth announcement for Julianna Pitt, a 1973 New Years card from the Baskin family, a device of a bird on a pomegranate with numerous initials throughout, 2 copies of GP announcement with illustrations, errata from an unknown volume, and several scraps of paper with various statements.

There are 17 folded sheets from A Check List of the Publications of Thomas Bird Mosher of Portland Maine, 1891-1923.  There are two prospectuses for Robert Burns The Jolly Beggars: A Cantata; a brochure for William Shakespeare: Othello; a prospectus for William Shakespeare Othello;  prospectus for Demons, Imps & Fiends printed in red and black on blue laid paper with two folded leaves on cream paper; prospectus for A Letter from Romeyn de Hooghe, printed in red and black; two prospectuses for Hippolytus, one on cream paper, one on pale green laid paper; a proof copy for engraved wood block, “God will not examine our medals and diplomas but our scars”; a catalogue printed in red and black, on a sewn folded leaf for Two Gehenna Press Books of American Interest; a proof of the printed green paper wrapper for Archibald Macleish, An Evening’s Journey to Conway, Massachusetts.

Finally, a limited edition -- #26 of 100 copies -- of Romeyn de Hooghe, To the Burgermasters of Haarlem [Brook 68] Signed by Leonard Baskin; 8 leaves bound in marbled paper over boards; with proof copies of the book laid in, varying slightly from the printed form.
