Item Details

Los Angeles, California, Immaculate Heart College, 1958, Staple

Incomplete

Published by the Fine Arts Department of the Immaculate Heart College between 1956 and 1963, the Irregular bulletin was a newsletter that announced the various activities and accomplishments of the students and faculty, including renowned artist, Corita Kent (Sister Mary Corita), who was head of the department from 1964 to 1968.

This is the 5th of 9 total issues, created by “industrious students & dedicated professors” on the topic of why High School students, their parents, and teachers believe that a Liberal Arts education can also be a shortcut to a professional career. This issue contains pages of various sizes, some folding out. The first of which features Corita’s 1955 “work, all the nations shall come”; printed in black, white, and red.

Laid in are two long folded pages advertising lectures by Sister Magdalen Mary, IHM and Sister Mary Corita, IHM, and cards made with rubber erasers.

Missing last 2 leaves; loss to page 3 and damage to small area at bottom of front cover. Mild-moderate wear at edges elsewhere. Very scarce; fragile.
