This is an amazing travel brochure with a 1917 copyright date. For the Hotel Chamberlin in Old Port Comfort, Virgina, named for the famed restaurateur and original owner John Chamberlin. The nine-story building sits on historic Fort Monroe and overlooks Fort Wool. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it has been renovated from its former life as a hotel into a luxury retirement community for people aged 55 and up.
Brochure has an amazing 4 panel cover in color and 2 of the panels have a WWI theme which was taking place when this was printed. Several other color illustrated pages including the famous indoor pool, the building, a regional map, and a centerfold of a birds eye view of the hotel and surrounding area. Has information inside about the fort, beach, country club and more. One of the two staple is gone, no tears, beautiful condition!
