This RARE Gorgeous Set is titled "Fun & Frolic" and contains (6) Vintage Die Cut Scenes; Football, Boxing, Bike Riding ( Man, Woman, Boy & Dog), Circus Scene (Clown, Monkey & Horse Rider), Man Going to Market(Cart & Donkey, Newspaper Boy & Policeman) and Organ Grinder (Dancing Girls). These die cuts are 3D and can stand to be displayed. They are embossed and glossy.  Birn Brothers, Fine Art Publishers, Designed At London Studios, Printed in Germany. Magnificent colors are bold & deep. Includes the original envelope. Near Mint Condition. 

"Birn Brothers of London, England were a major publishing house. Listed in the London trade directories from 1882 at 135 London Wall and in subsequent years at 27 Finsbury Street and 67-70 Bunhill Row. In 1898 their manager, Mr Elsner, was asked if the fashion of sending out cards has had its day. “Emphatically not” was the answer and he went on to report that in the previous year they sold eighteen and a half million cards." 

 Each Die Cut Scene Measures Approx: 10-3/4" W x 6-1/2" H, when laying flat. Several heads have creases and repairs. Back of the envelope is in two pieces.  

Condition:  Corners and edges are sharp.
