Time Saved on Your Job is a 1943 World War II U.S.A propaganda poster by Mead Schaffer. The artwork was commissioned by the United States Labor Management Committee. The image emphasizes the theme "Work Smarter" to help save time and to be more productive. The image demonstrates the direct relationship between factory production at home to the battlefield.
Schaffer began his career as a realistic painter illustrating classic books. His career transitioned to magazine covers in the 1930's, and he worked for numerous magazines including Cosmopolitan and the Saturday Evening Post. During World War II, Schaffer served as war correspondent for the Post and became known for his many paintings of American military men.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. Measures 29 x 40 inches. Has factory folds, on the top edge in the folds is a 2-3 inch tear, under the words Saves Lives looks like the red from the bottom of the poster has very lightly left a mark on the top part from being folded.
