Full-page color watercolor paintings; black & white illustrations. Faint spotting on text block fore-edge; else a fine copy, uncommonly signed by both Belle and her father, Joseph.

Belle Yang is a Chinese American author, illustrator, and fine artist best known for combining autobiography, Chinese history, and traditional Chinese artistic influences in her work. In "Baba" her first book, Belle shares her father's memories of growing up in Manchuria during the Japanese occupation and the Chinese Civil War. Joseph was the fourth of seven children in the House of Yang, a prominent Manchurian family.
