INSCRIBED and dated by the author, with an eight-line manuscript peom from Badger Clark's "Sun and Saddle Leather". 8vo. ix, [7], 262, [1] pp. 4 illustrated plates by Joe DeYong; rare dust jacket and endpapers designed by Will James. Hinge lightly cracked at title page; minor wear to extremities; else fine in good dust jacket.

The story follows a young Easterner named Jimmy who goes west to live on a cattle ranch, where he learns the skills, hardships, and values of the open range.
