8vo. 62 pp. The publisher's advertisements at the rear listing books issued between 1902 and 1908 support the dating. Translated by Charles H. Kerr. Pale yellow printed staple-bound wrappers in very good condition (a bit of staining/dampstaining on covers; internal pages not affected; "Workers Book Store" stamp on lower front cover; offsetting inside front cover).
Paul Lafargue (1842–1911), was a Cuban-born French political writer, economist, journalist, literary critic, activist and Karl Marx's son-in-law. His best-known work, "The Right to Be Lazy", was first published "Le Droit à la paresse" in French in 1883 as a critique of the capitalist "work ethic."
