This is my largest Black lot for this show—24 pieces, some scarce, related to many aspects of the Black experience in America—culture, family, history and struggles. See the complete list below, and view photos for examples of content. All in good used condition with some wear unless noted.
1) The Black Scholar April-May 1971: Featuring the Writings of Black Prisoners.
2) Testimony, A Journal of African-American Poetry, Vol 1, Issue 1, Winter 1987. Scarce, one of apparently only two issues, with poetry on Black life, alienation and uplift. Some external foxing.
3) The Black Child Advocate, Winter 1987, 8 pages including covers.
4) African Americans on Wheels magazine, Summer 1999. Related to Black American’s and automobiles. Cover is torn and almost detached.
5) Commemorator Newspaper of the Black Panther Party, October 2011.
6) Baton Rouge Examiner Newspaper: Young Gifted and Black? The Controversy over Black Participation in EBR’s Accelerated School Program. Oct 1983.
