Now first illustrated with bronze engravings.) Apud Andream ab Hoogenhuysen, 1670, Wesel, Germany. [16], 604, [49], 78 pp. Commentary by God. Steewichii. With many elaborate copper engravings, and additional engraved title page. 7 7/8” x 4½", calf binding, spine stamped in gilt with raised bands and label, marbled fixed endpapers. 604 pages (in four parts) + unnumbered index + 78 page Petri Scriverii Correctionum Militarium Liber (Peter Scriveri's Book of Military Corrections) at the end. Based on the notes with the book, pp 273-276 and 501-550 were omitted in the paging; no pages appear to be missing.

Condition: Rubbing to joints and corners, light scuffing to leather, tightly bound, “V96” in pencil on front endpaper, front engraving partially loose with edge chipping, “Bibliotheque Publique de Geneve” stamp on verso of title page, which has light foxing, other pages generally clean with light wear.
