Engraved frontispiece and extra-engraved title; 205-[206 blank] pp. [1]-7-[8] publisher’s catalogue. 12mo in half-sheets; original printed boards; two-inch crack at top of spine, but no separation as front paste-down tight and holding; random light foxing throughout. New York: Printed and Published by J. & J. Harper, 1833.                                                                                                                                                    

Juvenile series containing 32 volumes numbers I-XIX were published by J. & J. Harper in 1833 and numbers XX-XXV  were published in 1834/1835 by Harper & Brothers. With volume 26 the format was changed to number the volumes with Arabic numerals rather than with the original Roman numerals
