Beginning on page 107 is a report on the government of Virginia with references to the various schools, universities and state hospitals . Mentioned are W & L, V.P. I, Normal School in Farmville, Va., U. Va.. Among the hospitals is mentioned "The Central at Petersburg, exclusively for colored people." OCLC cites only 7 institutions that have this directory.
