very good

This is a classic study of one of Antebellum's slave traders.  Franklin established his headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia where he transported the enslaved to Natchez and other areas of the deep South. He was born in 1789 either in Virginia or North Carolina and died in 1846. He became very wealthy with plantations from Tennessee to the lower South and large holdings in Texas as well. At his death he was worth 3/4 of a million dollars. This may require extra postage due to its weight.
