First edition. 8vo, contemporary (possibly original) plain wrappers, 68 pp. followed by 16 engraved plates of music (Table I–XVI). Moderate foxing throughout; the final two leaves of text are heavily tanned but completely legible. A good, unsophisticated copy of an uncommon early American music theory treatise by the Italian-born composer and educator Filippo Trajetta, founder of the American Conservatorio of Philadelphia. Scarce.
