[Early 20th-Century Flag Pinback Button Collection, 50 Nations]
Mounted collection of 50 celluloid pinback buttons (each approx. 7/8 in. diameter), each depicting a national flag in color with country name, arranged in an hourglass shape on original display board (approx. 9.5 x 6.5 in). Circa 1910s–1920s. Includes flags of Japan, Turkey, Liberia, Switzerland, Uruguay, Siam, and others—some reflecting historical designs or colonial periods. Light age-toning and spotting to buttons; verso shows all pins intact and neatly affixed. A vibrant and complete surviving example of popular early 20th-century patriotic and educational ephemera.
