Broadsides include:
For this special edition each broadside is signed by the poet. Founded by Robert Hawley and Stevens Van Strum in the spring of 1964 (with Van Strum leaving the press the following year), the Oyez Press quickly established itself as a critical catalyst in the publishing of San Francisco Renaissance and Black Mountain school poetry. Hawley printed and developed relationships with local poets including Michael McClure, William Everson, and Robert Duncan, leaving an important mark on the Bay Area literary scene. Though Hawley's work at the press slowed down in later years, recognition of his wide-ranging literary legacy in the Bay Area has only continued to increase as institutions and collectors continue to establish and develop collections of the Oyez Press. Lot includes several prospectuses for the set including two copies of the card which erroneously lists a poem by Kenneth Patchen (one card corrected in manuscript).
