1.) Pillsbury. Opening Day! This rare photo postcard documents opening day, August 28, 1913, when automobiles were first issued permits to enter the Park. The first car entered the valley in 1900. Within 2 years they were banned as public nuisances.

2.) David Curry welcomes passengers disembarking  at his Camp Ground. Ca. 1907

3.) The Wawona Stage passes through the Wawona Tree with Galen Clark sitting with the driver. Ca. 1908.

4.) Arthur Pillsbury (behind the wheel) performs an advertising stunt on Overhanging Rock. 1916.
