Shipping and Returns

All items are offered subject to prior sale.

Prices are in US Dollars.

Shipping and insurance are free on all purchases, and all sendings will be registered with a tracking number.

All items are guaranteed to be as described.

Purchases may be returned for any reason within ten days of receipt for a full refund or credit, but please notify us of any returns in advance. Returns should be adequately packed and insured.

We're happy to accommodate institutional billing procedures. Please send your order with the purchase order number if applicable.

Ownership of goods does not pass to the purchaser until the price has been paid in full. General conditions of sale are those laid down in the IOBA Code of Ethics, which can be viewed at http://www.ioba.org/pages/code-of-ethics/

Payment methods we accept:

ILAB members can be billed on invoice, net 30 days.

Additional Information

Alican Akin has been in the antiquarian book trade in Turkey for over 15 years. In 2009 he founded Khalkedon Rare Books which has been selling rare books on the Turkish and Islamic World from Central Asia to Andalusia since then. He has been a member bookseller of ABEBooks and Biblio since 2012, a member of IOBA since 2015, and a member of the Ephemera Society of America since 2021. Also, since the beginning of 2021, he has been a mentee in the ILAB Mentoring Programme.
