Scarce publication calling for support of the Spanish Republic against Franco's Fascists. It reprints press articles about Fascist bombings of civilians and eyewitness accounts of Fascist atrocities.
There's also an appeal to President Roosevelt to denounce the bombing of civilians. Signers of the appeal include numerous public figures, such as Upton Sinclair, Dashiell Hammett, Rockwell Kent, Lillian Hellman, Clifford Odets, William Carlos Williams, Van Wyck Brooks, John Dos Passos, Dorothy Parker, and many others.
Two organizations that supported the Spanish Republic against Franco's Fascists issued this publication: the Medical Bureau and the North American Committee to Aid Spanish Democracy.

All books are offered subject to prior sale. We attempt to describe any defects we see and to note the presence of bookplates and previous owners' signatures. We unconditionally guarantee the authenticity of author signatures and inscriptions.
All items may be returned within 15 days of receipt and must be in the same condition as originally shipped. Please notify us before returning a book.
We accept all major credit cards issued in the U.S. as well as PayPal. (For clients outside the U.S., we strongly prefer PayPal.) We also accept checks drawn on U.S. banks from customers known to us. Shipments to New Jersey addresses will be charged 6.625% sales tax unless the buyer is tax-exempt.
We gladly offer deferred billing to libraries or other institutions.
We ship books through the U.S. Postal Service. If you would like us to use another carrier, please let us know. Within the U.S. we offer shipping by USPS Media Mail for $7 for the first book and $3 for each additional book. USPS Priority Mail is $15 for the first book and $4 for each additional item. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 pounds, or 1 kilo. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
Orders from outside the U.S. will be billed at cost, but will likely be at least $30 and possibly more, depending on the location.
Important note to buyers outside the U.S.: Any customs duties, taxes, or fees are the responsibility of the buyer. On customs forms, we declare the full value of the shipment.
