Etched Calendar for year 1891 by female artist/engraver. Four delicately etched landscapes representing Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring, with calendar accompaniment, printed on tinted etching paper; four two-sided panels folded accordian style 4-3/4" square, within handmade covers, pastedown year surrounded by moon cycle motif, wax seal and ribbon.
Canby, active 1874-1903, of of the American Women of the Etching Revival, Member of the Women Etchers of America, listed in Annual Report for the Year (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston)Vol. 12, Dec. 31, 1887; Listed in Official catalogue of World's Columbian Exposition, 1893; included in the catalog of etching proofs exhibited at the National Academy of Design, New York City, 1891
