“The Provincetown Business Guild (PBG), founded in 1978, was not a directory in the way a printed business directory would be. However, the PBG, through its activities and focus on LGBTQ+ tourism, played a key role in promoting and showcasing Provincetown's businesses to that community. They supported businesses through membership and by producing events like Pride, Carnival, and Holly Folly, which attracted visitors and fostered the town's LGBTQ+ community.”

This is the only known copy of the first LGBTQ+ directory issued by the PBG.
