Item Details

London, Smith, Elder & Co,, 1906

Near fine

Two octavo volumes. Contemporary tree calf, boards with gilt designs, gilt board edges, densely gilt spine compartments, burgundy and green morocco gilt lettering labels, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. A beautiful contemporary binding.

Each volume with a fine fore-edge painting of children at play. Both paintings are bright and clear (but we are sorely lacking in the photographic skills necessary to present them as such)
