Printed in an edition limited to 143 copies, of which this is one of 140 standard numbered copies signed by William Everson (Bibliography 1974 - 2020 A46). A fine copy in fine slipcase.

Printed and bound by Peter and Donna Thomas at The Good Book Press in Santa Cruz, CA.

William Everson's elegy on the death of poet Robinson Jeffers is considered one of the most powerful elegies in American literature. The text has been available to readers for twenty-five years, but Everson waited until the 100th anniversary of Jeffers' birth to issue this Centenary Edition which includes a new strophe of nine lines, and correcting errors from previous printings. It is illustrated with linoleum cuts by Tom Killion, known for his strong renditions of California's coastline.
