Various places, Circa 1870 - 1900.

12 trade cards in various sizes. Includes:

  • M. C. MILLER, Fine Boots & Shoes; 3 7/8 x 2 5/8”; 2 girls one of whom is riding a large dog.
  • PARTRIDGE'S Café and Dining Rooms, Philadelphia; 4 3/8 x 2 7/8”; boy and girl carrying various foodstuffs; printer’s imprint, “Ketterlinus, Philada.” 
  • GRANITE Iron Ware, Springfield, Mass.; 2 5/8 x 3 7/8”; young girl pushing a cat or a mouse in a large teapot precariously perched on a cart. 
  • LAUTZ Bros. & Co. Soaps at W. H. Lathrop, Grocer, Hartford, Conn.; 3 3/4 x 4 1/8”; young girl holding a sign or large envelope above her head. 
  • W. F. WHITELSEY & Co. Merchatn Tailors, Hartford; 4 1/4 x 3”; boy in chef’s garb holding a large knife while trying to wrestle a banner reading “A Bill [of] Dispute” from a ducks bill; small number “108” bottom left corner. 
  • G. B. WOODMAN & Co. Grocers, Philadelphia; 4 3/8 x 3”; standing boys in discussion with girl kneeling on blanket surrounded by fruit; printer’s imprint, “Ketterlinus, Philada.” 
  • SHARPLESS & Sons, Philadelphia, Importers, Jobbers & Retailers of Dry Goods; 4 3/8 x 2 7/8”; kneeling monkey taking aim with a pop gun at fleeing boy; printer’s imprint, “Testu & Massin, Paris.” 
  • AYER'S Sarsaparilla prepared by Dr. J. C. Ayer & Co, Lowell, Mass., for sale by [handwritten] “Talcott Frisbe & Co.; 5 x 3 3/4”; 2 women talking, one apparently weak and resting in chair with bottle of sarsaparilla, with children and dog playing at their feet. 
  • ESTEY Organ Co., Brattleboro, VT, on front with “write for prices to” Gibbons & Stone, Rochester, N.Y. on back; 3 x 5”; girl playing harp; printer’s imprint, “J. Ottmann, Lith. N.Y.” 
  • KASHMANN'S Furnishing House, Hartford, Conn., John F. Moran, Salesman; 4 5/8 x 3 1/8”; girl talking to lamb hatching from large egg; small number “8” bottom left corner.
