First edition. Lists officers and members of 66 clubs along with club histories and descriptions of many. Illustrated with full-plate photographic images of various buildings and halls (presumably where club meetings were held) and club emblems and seals in the text. Ownership signature on first blank of Art Dealer, Daniel Haddock Farr, member of the Zeta Psi Club, which was formerly known as Zeta Psi Fraternity and later officially became the Spee Club. Hardy Studio cabinet card (i.e., mounted black-and-white photograph) of the club's Steward with penciled note on back identifying him, one can only assume, by a nickname, "Wet lock -/ Steward of the/ Zeta Psi (Spee)/ Club - 1898./ He sure could mix a strong cocktail" -- who could ask for a better epithet? 8vo gilt-stamped crimson cloth with ad for "The Regal Shoe" on rear cover; 122 pages plus ads inserted at front and back. Near fine with minor soiling and wear and few tiny tears to base of pp. 77-86. Cabinet card with touch of light wear to edges otherwise nearly fine. Exceedingly scarce to rare.
