Item Details

(Northbrook, Angelsoft / Mindscape, 1985).

First edition. The interactive adventure game's PC version (vs. Apple) adapted from King's novella "The Mist," which first appeared in 1980 in the DARK FORCES anthology published by Viking and was later collected in King's SKELETON CREW (1985). "You control the action as you desperately fight the hideous things in the Mist and try to uncover what the Arrowhead Project really was" (back cover). Housed in 7.75 x 9" glossy hardcover with pocket and plastic sleeve. Pocket holds 2 copies of the reference card for the game and 16-page "Introduction to Interactive Fiction" (general instructions, not game specific). Plastic sleeve holds 5.25" floppy disk in original diskette sleeve, map, Mindscape ad and warranty card. Map (22 x 14") is a lovely birds-eye view of the fictional town of Bridgton, Maine, drawn by Micheal [sic] Fisher. Altogether fine with only the printed label on floppy disk appearing a little aged. Relatively scarce, especially with all components still present and in such nice shape.
