Text in Yiddish except for the additional content pages, which is also in German for the first issue and in English for all the others issues. The captions of the illustrations of vol 2 - 4 are in Yiddish and English.
Illustrated magazine in Yiddish, founded by Dr. Mark Wischnitzer and his wife, the art historian Rachel Bernstein-Wischnitzer and published bimonthly. The magazine featuring articles on Jewish art including painting, sculpture, music and theater. It also includes fiction, poetry, and critical & philosophical essays. Among the authors were Lissitzky, Chagall, S. Tchernichovsky, Nathan Altman, Ch. N. Bialik, Rachel Vishnitzer, J. Meyer-Gaefe, Nistor, Max Brod, Arthur Schnitzler, Hermann Struck and others
From the Rimon Publications advertising page in vol 1: "MILGROIM is published bi-monthly in the format of the present issue. It will embrace the study, both retrospective and contemporary, of art in all it's manifestations (...) Media Mail can take up to 14 - 20 days just to reach the West Coast by ship. Therefore we ship all smaller and regular sized items within the US by Priority Mail without additional cost to the customer. Oversized or heavy books might have to be shipped by Media Mail.
