Massive Silk-Screened Christmas Poster of Santa's Workshop, no date, no place, unknown printer

Poster measures 82 x 35 1/2 inches. Has been stored rolled and will ship rolled. Verso shows tape repairs at both ends. Numerous pinholes at corners and along edges. Light moisture damage mostly visible on verso. Light creasing from repeated rolling. The majority of the poster looks better than good condition but with edge wear and small tears with repairs it is in fair condition overall.

Very colorful and detailed Christmas time poster of Santa in his workshop with 7 elves working hard crafting toys and wrapping presents. 

Silk screening process used heavy ink which, for the most part remains crack-free and vibrant. There is no printer's slug or any information on the who, what, why, when or where of this item. Surely it was an advertising piece?

The design is reminiscent of mechanical window displays produced by Gregory Motors in New York, or holiday pieces by Geoge Hinke (not nearly as elaborate as Hinke) yet we cannot find a match. This print would have been expensive to produce and with a little love and care could be backed and preserved for future generations.

Note:  Due to large size, I was not able to photograph the entire 82-inch-long poster and have photographed both ends plus about 80% of the poster in the three scans.
