Draft Contract between Zane Grey and RKO Studios for the rights to the motion pictures "West of the Pecos", "Outfit", and "Drift Fence". Includes numerous changes, additions and corrections in pencil. Signed Zane Grey by Lina Elsie Grey (aka Dolly Grey, wife of Zane), September 6, 1934. Provenance--Zane Grey estate and Jerilyn Anne Grey.  "West of the Pecos" starring Richard Dix was filmed at Paramount Ranch in Agoura and released in December 1934. Buster Crabbe starred in "Drift Fence" and was released in February 1936.  RKO paid $13,500-$15,000 for the rights to each of the books.
