Bifolium document measures 13 7/8 x 8 1/2 inches with tipped in 5 1/2 x 7 7/8 inch document. Mild moisture damage to fore edge with 1 x 1 1/2 inch paper loss (no content loss) to second leaf. Some soiling, especially to deed face. Good Condition.

Nice item from the Comstock Lode featuring a mining deed printed prior to March 1861 when Virginia City was still in Utah Territory. The document was executed February 14, 1863 with manuscript corrections to Nevada Territory. Document witnessed and signed by Leonard W. Ferris, Probate Judge of Storey County, Nevada Territory.  Deed between Robert Wilkie and James Hassly for 6 1/4 feet of ground in the Santa Rita Gold & Silver Mining Company.
