The book is in good condition. The gilt design on the front cover is bright. There is some wear and rubbing to the outside boards. There is an inscription in the front, and no bookplates or markings of any other kind. There is some wear to the front hinge. A few pages have some light foxing, but most of the book is clean. This is the First fully illustrated US edition, printed by Charles Scribner's Sons in 1879. A rare find in any condition.
