This book is in Very Good condition. There is a bookplate in the front and no signatures or markings of any kind. The gilt lettering and design to the front cover is bright and unrubbed. The book comes with a custom made black slipcase. Widely considered to be Beardsley's masterpiece. This book contains all 20 full and double page illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley, as well as over 300 smaller designs and initial letters. The pages are clean and free of foxing. This is the 1927 edition printed by J.M. Dent limited to only 1600 copies. Roughly the size of a phone book, The Morte D'Arthur is widely considered to be Beardsley's masterpiece. A rare find in this condition.
