The book is in good condition. There is a bookplate, signatures and stamp mark in the front and no markings of any other kind. There is some light rubbing to the outside boards. This book contains all 50 of Rackham's original tipped-in color plates. They are all in excellent condition and have intact tissue guards which have the illustration's titles printed on them. A few pages have some light foxing, but most of the book is clean. This is the Deluxe edition from 1912 which features a new frontspiece and 7 additional black and white illustrations. It is the first edition of this book to have the illustrations interspersed throughout the text, as opposed to being gathered together in the rear of the book. These early Rackham's are often split up and sold separately for their beautiful prints. A rare find complete with many beautiful illustrations.
