This is a wonderful original photo album from a young married African-American couple from 1933 to 1937 of their travels from California to the East Coast. The majority of the photographs are identified and include wonderful shots on motorcycles, in the Allegheny Mountains, staying with friends and family, visiting the Biltmore Country Club in New York. There is a very interesting photograph of the Automat's Strike in New York City in 1937. It includes photos of them at the Chicago World's Fair in 1933 along with them visiting Michigan and viewing construction of the Boulder Dam and being in Los Angeles, California. A remarkable record at a time where travel was loaded with danger for a young African-American couple. There are nearly 200 total photographs.
