Oblong 4to. 11.5 x 9 in. [4 pp (unpaginated).] Colour-illustrated throughout, self-printed colour-illustrated softcovers, cover art of the simulated cane-weave panel (very slight bumping to couple corners, light rubbing from dealership stamp on back cover), still a VG bright copy.

First edition of this very scarce original dealer’s brochure for the 1948 Willys-Overland Jeep station wagon, designed by Brooks Stevens, and was the first all-steel, factory-built station wagon in North America. The simulated wood panel finish had been replaced by a solid colour finish set off by the cane-weave panel, front radiator grille was redesigned, and was fitted out with an L-head 6-cylinder engine much more powerful than the previous 4-cylinder. These precursor SUV’s were also fitted out with ivory steering wheels, and instrument controls, as well as interior metallic silver-gray metal trim, hydraulic brakes, and hydraulic shock absorbers.
