Large format photograph, 21 ¼ x17 ¾ on 23 ¾ x 20 grey mount . Image of numerous men in fraternal attire. The banner with “Tripoli - Milwaukee “is in background, along with another banner on left which reads “Tripoli Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. (Ancient Arabic Order of the% Nobles of the Mystic Shrine)”.
The photographer’s manuscript , Stein, is in the lower right corner. Housed in original oak frame,( 24 ½ x 28 ¼ o.d).
In the State of Wisconsin, Tripoli Chapter was the first Chapter in the State, and on June 14, 1886, it was the 21st Chapter to receive a charter.
Exhibits outstanding tonality, contrast and presence. There is some dampstaining along top edge and top right side; however due to the dark grey mount, though noticeable, is not really distracting. Curiously the staining did not affect nor discolor the image. The frame is dark oak, original to the image, and is used good condition.
