Very good
Master hand binding of full blue leather by Hugo F. Wagner of Breslau, with his stamp on the bottom edge of the back board. Very good condition, leather holding up well, buckle strap on lower board, closing strap on upper board missing. Extra free endpapers were attached to the original endpapers of the book, the front endpaper is a little chipped along the edge. "Vorzugsausgabe" of 1000 copies on hand-mde vellum, this being copy no. 550. The biTnding was custom-amde and is not an edition binding. Hugo Wagner taught at the Meisterschule Breslau; his work is mentioned in numerous publications of the time devoted to the craft of bookbinding. Express Mail only to foreign addresses.
