British-American artist Peter Hutchinson is recognized as a pioneer in both the land art and narrative art movements. Displacing a venerable landscape tradition from canvas to real space, Hutchinson's early conceptual artworks document ephemeral interventions with the landscape and such materials as flowers, food and found objects in natural environments like the ocean, mountains and fields. This drawing suggests an idyllic intervention with the landscape.
