This ninth novel in the very popular Scarlet Pimpernel series. The Scarlet Pimpernel, Sir Percy Blakeney, rescues a young woman accused of treachery in revolutionary Paris. A major plot point is that her father is Sir Percy's usual arch-nemesis, the villainous Chauvelin, forcing the two rivals to work together while facing the dangers of the French Revolution.
CONDITION: Very Good, nearly fine, in Fair dustjacket. Endpapers lightly toned, very light partial crack at rear hinge. Dustjacket is complete, but with substantial edgewear and chipping at spine ends, one small tape repair.
