Inscribed by Author, first Edition thus. --'The Ring - Record Book and Boxing Encyclopedia', considered the 'bible of boxing'--SIGNED & INSCRIBED by NAT FLEISCHER-- American sports journalist, publisher and outstanding authority on boxing, one of the founders of the Boxing Hall of Fame (its first members were inducted in 1954). A New York Press sportswriter, Nat Fleischer was encouraged by the promoter, Tex Rickard, to launch the authoritative monthly magazine 'The Ring'-- its' first issue appeared in 1922. Fleischer published the first edition of 'The Ring - Record Book and Boxing Encyclopedia' in 1942, and it was published annually until 1986.

1953 edition has b&w photos & illustrations. Corners rubbed, boards dusty, but still in overall good condition.
